Welcome to CollinsKeep, a nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact in the lives of animals in need through our various programs and initiatives. We invite you to explore our website and learn more about how you can join us in helping dogs in need.
CollinsKeep, founded August 2023 in honor of my great friend of 14 years, Collin.
The first several months of Collin’s life were spent completely alone, in an apartment, in a crate for 12-13 hours a day.
Collin came to us in 2009, skinny, unsocial & afraid of almost everything.
I felt so bad for him, all I wanted to do was hug him & take care of him, all he wanted to do was hide in any small space he could find.
We worked with him, slowly gained his trust and eventually his love. He would never be fond of strangers or the vet which was difficult because Collin had more than his share of medical issues.
When he was 7 years old, the vet told us he only had a few months to live due to one of his medical issues, I was destroyed by those words, he was too young to die and it had taken more than half of his life to recover & start to live.
I committed to saving Collin, found a vet, Dr. Morris who was truly excellent, he worked with us to help Collin, who lived another 7 years in good health, in which he began to freely give hugs, kisses, he'd bring toys to play with us & his buddy Rowan, Collin was finally happy.
I had the honor of caring for Collin for 14 years & when he died on August 23, 2023 at his home, with a doctor’s assistance, surrounded by all who loved him.
It is in Collin’s honor & memory that we start CollinsKeep. Not just a place, but a home on our farm where dogs, old, young, blind, healthy or on medication can come & feel\be at home.

This is where the idea of a permanent home for dogs started.
It moved from an idea to a concept, that grew into a plan. The plan filled days and weeks until CollinsKeep became a 501(c)3.
Now we will work to help and save as many alone, afraid, ill or\and neglected dogs as we can.
We are a nonprofit organization who love our benefactors and appreciate your support of our efforts to
provide excellent care for dogs.
